When do people eat out?
People eating out less in the evening provides an opportunity for takeaways and deliveries to have a higher appeal. However, this may be a seasonal trend due to colder weather and dark evenings. As the weather gets warmer people will be able to eat outside which may entice them out to hospitality venues more often.
This is also boosted by returns to the office pre-Omicron break out. But now workers have returned to remote working, which will inevitably drive fewer eating-out occasions at lunchtimes.
