Talking about the top alcoholic drinks trends for 2023

We’re back with another 2023 Food and Drink Trends episode!

This time, we speak to Head of Unity and expert of all things alcohol… Matt Towe. During the episode we explore our alcoholic drinks trend for 2023, “In the Spirit”. 

With over 20 years of experience working in the alcohol industry, Matt truly is a fountain of knowledge, so it was fascinating to get his views on the latest alcoholic drinks trends, and what will make them such a hit with consumers this year. Importantly for operators, we also discuss ways in which these trending drinks can be offered in the face of market challenges, like the cost of living crisis and staff/skill shortages.

We discuss the 3 sub-trends of ‘In the Spirit’ which are:  ‘Trending Spirits’, ‘Signature Cocktails’ and ‘Non-Alcoholic Alternatives’. The latter being a crucial category to consider as consumers are generally becoming more mindful about their alcohol intake.
