Read MoreAs part of the Transport team your primary role as a Transport Router will be to review the order profile on a daily basis and plan routes according to agreed timescales taking into account customer requirements, manage stem mileage, plan according to working time directive, respond in a timely and efficient manner to urgent changes in customer requirements, adapt the routes as required and liaise with sales colleagues to ensure any customer offering is achieved to the best of the department’s ability.
You will have effective communication skills as you will be working closely with internal departments in order to achieve KPIs; you will also need to deal with drivers on a daily basis to make sure that they are involved with routing and planning activities and to make use of their local knowledge.
Ideally you will have a good knowledge of WTD rules and regulations, area knowledge, excellent computer skills, reflex and have previous experience of planning for a fleet of 74 vehicles plus
