Method
- To make the plain cake mix, place the dry mix into a machine bowl fitted with a beater attachment.
- Gradually blend in the oil on slow speed for one minute.
- Mix for a further two minutes on medium speed.
- Combine the remaining cake mix with the cocoa powder and repeat the same instructions as above to make the chocolate cake mix.
- Grease and line a tray bake tin. Place alternative spoons full of the plain and chocolate cake mix into the tins to create a marbled effect. Once finished, shake the tins gently to level the mix.
- Bake at 190°C for 20 minutes until the cake has risen and is a light golden colour.
