Ingredients
Caster sugar | 200g |
Cranberries | 1kg |
Everyday Favourites ground cinnamon | 0.5g |
Sea salt | 3g |
Port | 250ml |
Merlot | 200ml |
Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced | 2 |
Method
- In a large pan add the sugar and heat until caramelised
- Then add the cranberries, cinnamon, salt, port and red wine and cook until reduced by half
- Peel and slice the apples and add to the pan, continue to cook until ¾ of the liquid has reduced and the apples are cooked
- Allow to cool and place into clean jars to store
