But, we wanted to go one step further by providing a labelling solution within our online shop, Bidfood Direct!
A few weeks ago we launched our MyRecipes and Menu Planning tool, which allows customers to create recipes and plan menus using their agreed product range and pricing. The tool also provides clear and easy to understand allergen icons, nutritional data and traffic lights per recipe, however we wanted to make things even easier to help provide you with the tools you need to be compliant with the new legislation.
Our new labelling feature within MyRecipes allows you to generate a download, which can then be used to create your compliant labels. The download will export the recipe name/description as well as the full ingredients list for your recipe with all allergens emphasised with capitalisation. This ingredients list will be in order of the recipe ingredient of the largest quantity to the smallest quantity per portion and you can also add a use by date to your download too! So, all you need to do is create a label from the word document using word mailings and print your labels from there.
Alternatively, to enhance your customer experience even more – as many of our customers already use the DayMark printing solution, we’ve been working closely with DayMark to ensure this new labelling feature on Bidfood Direct is compatible with the DayMark Matt85 Menu Command, allowing you to produce labels in a variety of different formats. If you’re not yet a DayMark customer, speak to your Bidfood account manager to get started now! We stock the DayMark tablet and printer, as well as compatible blank labels, making it easy for you to stock up on labels as and when by simply adding them to your normal order.
