Insights Manager (maternity cover/contract) – Slough

An amazing opportunity has arisen for an Insights Manager to temporarily join the research team of a well-known, award-winning foodservice company. If you love food, have a passion for figuring out what makes consumers tick and thrive on collaborating with stakeholders we’d love to hear from you.

Operating in a broad research capacity, either working alongside agencies or taking responsibility for internal research execution, you will cover a range of subjects within the foodservice sector, from service delivery to sustainability, from tasting to trends. With days that vary from working with our insights partners and/or foodservice customers to attending topical events, exhibitions and food tours you will put your wealth of experience to good use, whilst developing a deeper understanding of our customers and their challenges.

The scope of this role will see you be part of a team that is passionate about driving best in class consumer, customer and business insights that help our marketing, commercial and operations teams, as well as the wider business, truly understand our customers and our customers’ customers.

You will be key in ensuring insight is at the heart of everything we do through:

  • Working with stakeholders across Bidfood to set our insights roadmap and strategy
  • Playing a part in the development and progression of the team
  • Fronting the design, execution and delivery of traditional (and less-traditional) insights pieces
  • Leading and embedding the purpose and outcomes of research and strategy pieces to drive actions
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management/reporting of our Service Excellence measurement tool
  • Supporting the ongoing roll-out and delivery of the annual ‘Food and Drink Trends’ toolkit
  • Collaborating with our innovation pipeline initiative to develop concepts, ranges and campaigns
  • Ensuring yours and the team’s work gets noticed inside and outside the business, through the translation of insights and findings into customer-facing presentations, visuals and/or tools to support our sales teams, our customer and channel marketing teams and ultimately the business.
  • Embracing own personal development in terms of insights skills and business knowledge

As an experienced research you will have/be:

  • A minimum 2.1 degree in any discipline
  • A breadth of fantastic research (qual and quant) experience under your belt
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills
  • Confident and effective working with stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confident and credible presenting
  • An inquisitive and questioning mind-set – with strong attention to detail
  • A self-starter with can-do attitude – proactive and conscientious, willing to get stuck in
  • Good Powerpoint and Excel skills – with strong attention to detail
  • Integrity and an uncompromising commitment to doing the right thing
  • Any database/analytical software experience a benefit
