A bit about the role

The Wakefield Warehouse team forms an essential part of the Wakefield depot to ensure the delivery of excellent customer service.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and leading the team in all chambers to ensure all goods are received, replenished, and stored correctly
• Company assets in the warehouse (cages, pallets, stock) ensuring they are controlled and accounted for at all times and in line with budget.
• Maximising shift  and WMS system efficiency
• Managing a team of Warehouse Operatives ensuring appraisals, people management and conduct issues are managed in an appropriate timescale.
• Adhering to audit standards at all times.

To succeed in this role you will need:

• The ability to work closely with the Warehouse Day Shift Manager as you will also be required to cover their role at certain times (holiday and end of shift responsibilities)
• A successful track record in achieving your targets, with an accurate and methodical approach to your work.
• The ability to communicate with all stakeholders effectively.

Your success in this role will be measured in the achievement of service standards, as well as commercial objectives covering cost and stock-loss control, product availability, credit reduction and a wide range of people factors such as training and attendance
